Google ads account suspended

If you violate any of Google’s terms of service, advertising policies, or engage in suspicious activity with payment or billing, your Google Ads account will get suspended.

A suspended or banned account will not be allowed to run any kind of campaigns. In some cases these suspensions or bans may be lifted.

If your account has been suspended by Google, it is not end of the world. It has happened to many people before, and they’ve managed to get back on their feet. Read on to find out Adwords account suspension issues and solutions.

Your Google Ads account can be suspended due to the following reasons:

  • Your website does not follow Google Ads Policies. These can be gambling contents, copyrighted contents, under-construction contents, pornography, misleading contents or any other thing that Google doesn’t allow.
  • Your website contain malicious sites, ads or apps
  • If you use an advertising strategy that is based on traffic generation but you aren’t committed to providing the best user experience.

Deceptive Content

If your ads are misleading and you advertise wrong about your service or business or website. For instance, you claim in your advert that you offer Free web hosting but you charge a processing fee. Or, if you claim your supplements “cure” an ailment. This can to Google is misleading and deceptive.

While you may truly feel that the products or services you offer are better than everyone else’s, you may be suspended if Google believes it’s deceptive.

Ensure you word your ads cautiously and do not aim to trick or misrepresent your products. Deceptive contents also include the use of other people’s content without their permission or making claims that are unrealistic.
  • If you do any cloaking (where a different site is shown to Google editorial team and the user see’s a totally different website).
  • Creating several accounts that promote the same website.
People would do almost anything to get their businesses on the first page. Some create multiple accounts to try monopolize the first page of the search results. If you use more than one Google Ad account for the same business, your WILL get suspended.

The same goes for…
  • If your website is closely related to an account that has already been suspended
  • If you are using trademark in your ads
  • If you sell illegal product or services
  • If you violate Google terms and policies repeatedly. (will get you banned for life)
  •  If the Destination URL and the Display URL in Ads is different
  • Unauthorized Access
  • If your website lacks terms of service and a private policy. Although isn’t always necessary, however it’s always recommended to have it.
Other than the reasons mentioned above, at times, your account can be mistakenly suspended by Google team. However, these are more common reasons why your account would have been suspension. But in reality, the cases do vary.

Solution

The first step to take in case of account suspension is to find the reason(s) why Adwords have suspended you. This is the first step to getting your account back. As soon as you discover the reason(s), go on to find different solutions to get your account reinstated. Here is how to go about it:

1. Fix the suspended site

The moment Google suspends your account, Adwords will write a plan on how to fix the suspended account and how to re-submit for review.

2. Fix disapproved sites

If you ads get disapproved, be sure to read Adwords policies on how to fix disapproved ads so as to get it corrected.

3. Request policy questions from Google

If you still have doubts and are confused and want answers from Adwords to your queries on policies or ads, ask Google.

4 Any other reason

Check out above reasons to find out why Google suspended your Ads account. As soon as you get a clearer idea as to why your account has been suspended, move on to the next step. You can always hire a company who will help you lift the adwords penalty.

As soon as you find out what went wrong with your website, be sure to note down everything, what went wrong and the steps you have taken to fix it. For example, if your account violated ads policies, write the steps you have taken to correct it. If you were using your website from a remote area (unauthorized access), be sure to state clearly the reason for this. Also give a clear strategy on what you won’t do it again.

Contacting Google Ads team should be your next plan of action. There are several ways to do this. You can call them directly or file an appeal regarding your account suspension. If you get confused on how to forge forward or have hesitations or reservations, always make sure you request your account manager to assist you if you have one managing your account.

Another important thing is to inform Google on the kind of policies you violated and how you have corrected them. Please make sure you are as descriptive as possible. You want the Google Adwords team to know that you’re willing to maintain a healthy cordial relationship with them.

Be sure to ask them for any changes needed to be done and how to avoid the suspension notices. Even if you know them all, it’s still important to ask.

Have Patience

Patience is the most important virtue here. You need to practice patience so as to be taken care of properly. Note that the whole process and review can take anywhere from two days to two weeks, and you will need to call several times so as to get your issue resolved(depending on your situation).

Due to the inconsistent policy enforcement by Google, account suspensions are unfortunately largely inevitable. However, if you land in Google jail, do not give up. Just remain positive, make sure you open all doors that Google allows you to open, and ensure you explore some of the alternative revenue sources. If you follow the above discussed solutions, your story will have a happy ending.

The first word that pops into many website owners head’s when they see a drop in organic traffic is… “penalty”. While that may very well be the case – you need to first determine if the issue is in fact “technical”. In my personal experience, 8 out of 10 times a site loses organic traffic – it’s due to a technical issue. Technical issues can be scary, because the solution isn’t clear. You’ll need to do some investigating in order to figure out where the technical issue lies. If you aren’t very technical this may seem like an impossible task. It doesn’t need to be. I’ve compiled some of the more common as well as some unique issues I’ve seen over the last 16 years as an SEO.

If you run a business or blog solely on the Internet, you have more than likely either heard of, considered using, or have used the platform WordPress. WordPress is a publishing software that entices users to join by claiming to be an easy platform to learn and master for beginners, while also being a space in which to create the website they desire. At a cursory glance, WordPress may seem like a great platform for beginners and established companies alike-but is it really? Before one decides to take the plunge into the WordPress world of online business, these are 6 reasons why you may want not to use WordPress for your business. 1. Plug-Ins On WordPress, there are loads of plug-ins available either for free or for purchase, which work to extend the functionality capabilities of your site. While the idea of having an array of plug-ins to choose from that will make your site look more attractive or become more personalized, they can pose their own sets of problems. The main issue with these plug-ins is that there is no guarantee each plug-in you purchase and download will work seamlessly within your site, since they are all created by different people. Additionally, if you run into problems with any of these plug-ins, there aren't too many places you can turn to for support in figuring out how to remedy the issue. 2. Difficult to Master A key issue with WordPress is that it was desired with coders in mind, not the average business person-meaning, if you are not exceptionally proficient in coding, you are likely to run into issues or frustration trying to edit and personalize your site. 3. Easily Hackable Since the default setting of WordPress allows unlimited log-in attempts to gain access to the site, this makes it very plausible that your own website could run into skilled hackers that will try to gain entry. Even if they don't gain access to your site, it could still prove too slow down your interface greatly. 4. Tons of System Updates WordPress can tend too frequently run into server issues, which require the business owner or individual to take the time as often as every single month to perform the needed software updates. Not only is this time-consuming, but the aforementioned plug-ins installed on your site may not even be compatible with all of the new updates. This can cause issues with the plug-ins themselves, or with your overall site and themes. 5. Can Become Costly If you desire making your site on WordPress look as endearing, bright, and attractive as can be by customizing it exactly to your liking, you are likely to have to spend lots of additional money to do so. This is because you will need to purchase a custom designed upgrade in order to obtain these customized features. For someone who runs multiple blogs, this can add up quickly and could be a significant reason not to use WordPress at all. 6. Security Vulnerabilities Since WordPress has been around for quite some time, it has older programming which can breed a whole host of security problems and incidents. These security incidents can include drive-by downloads, "back door" entering of hackers, and malicious redirects, among others. The responsibility to try to mitigate these risks falls solely on the business owner or individual, not WordPress. Meaning, you will constantly have to make sure to remember all necessary software updates are implemented or the results could be disastrous. ✅ The bottom line is: while using WordPress for a business or blog could be worthwhile for some, there are too many issues, inconveniences, and vulnerabilities for it to be an overall good platform to recommend. When it comes to picking a platform in which to market your business, it is important to pick one that not only looks attractive and vibrant, but is also simple to master and get the hang of, and will not be easily susceptible to hackers and constantly need to be updated-- which will only prove to add more stress into an individual's life. Taking the time to pick out a platform that will allow you the space to craft a personalized site without any additional, unnecessary worries or stressors is a key factor to making sure your business will be as profitable and successful as possible.
